The Canaan Police Department made seven (7) arrests over the weekend of April 4-April 6.
The arrests on Friday April 4, 2014 were
- Operating after suspension
- Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
The arrests on Saturday April 5, 2014 were
- Taking a vehicle without owner’s consent, Operating after suspension, Electronic bench warrant, Criminal Trespass, Possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell
- Resisting Arrest or Detention, transporting alcoholic beverages
- Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (minors in vehicle)
The arrests on Sunday April 6, 2014 were as follows:
After conducting an investigation, Officers of the Canaan Police Department applied for and were granted a search warrant for a residence located at 52 Maple Road in Canaan.
During the execution of the search warrant, Canaan Police seized:
- 44 Grams of Heroin, street value $11,000
- 13.5 Grams of Cocaine street value $ 1,700
- 5.8 Ounces Marijuana street value $ 1,450
- Numerous Oxycontin tablets street value $2,250
- Suboxone
- Multiple firearms, including semi-automatic rifles
- Drug packaging equipment to include razor blades, baggies and scales
- Marijuana growing equipment
Estimated drug street value $16,400
The following individuals were arrested at the scene:
CHARLES A. NEILY, 31 years old of Canaan, NH
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Hydrocodone
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Anabolic Steroids
- Possession of Suboxone
GERION D. SILVA, 39 years old of Danbury, NH
- Possession of Heroin
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Oxycontin
Neily and Silva were held at the Grafton County House of Corrections on $10,000 cash only bail. They were arraigned in the 2nd Circuit Court – District Division Lebanon on Monday April 7, 2014 where a judge continued the bail at $10,000 cash each and additional charges are pending.
The Canaan Police Department was assisted by the New Hampshire State Police Troop.
